Here at Pennridge and Wells we believe we offer the ultimate solution to your flat roof problems.
There won’t be a serious fire risk from flames used to melt bitumen onto your roof. Neither will there be problems of GRP (Glass fibre Reinforced Plastic) cracking due to the variations in temperature of our British weather! We use a continuous rubber sheet, made by Firestone, the world-renowned rubber manufacturers. This is glued into place used state-of-the-art adhesive technology, without any heating. This rubber sheet is designed to expand and contract as the ambient temperature varies and will never crack.
Our installers have been thoroughly trained in the complex installation processes required. Since we are approved installers, the manufacturers guaranteed our work as they are happy that we install the product to their demanding standard.
We put our reputation on the line when we undertake any new job, so we ensure that the job is done to perfection from start to finish. We will never just cover over someone else’s work. How can we possibly guarantee the quality of their work without inspecting it? We strip off your old roof, right back to the rafters. This allows us to inspect for any hidden damage or rot, and enables us to rectify it before it is sealed up forever. We then install an 18mm moisture resistant board, a vapour barrier, insulation, another 18mm moisture resistant board and finally the waterproof rubber cover.
This cross section will bring the insulation value of your roof up to current Building Regulation part L standards, guaranteeing to make your home warmer. Not only will your home be warmer, but you’ll be helping to reduce global warming and reduce your heating bills.
Due to the increased thickness of your new roof, we will install new fascias and gutters free of charge, with the latest most environmentally advanced products on the market.
We are so confident in our installation that you will receive two certificates to verify the work. The first certificate will be from the manufacturer to state that they guarantee the product for 25 years. The second certificate will be from your local Council Building Control Department to verify that the work has been carried out to their high standards, as we always insist that they visit site during installation and inspect our work to reassure the home owner that they will never have to worry about their flat roof ever again.
The minimum life expectancy of our product is 50 years. There are installations out there still going strong after 40 years so we know that we can offer peace of mind for most home owners that they’ll never need to replace their roof ever again.
A flat roof is hardly an exciting talking point. You simply want to fit it and forget it, which is exactly what you can do with a Pennridge and Wells installation.
